Air Fryer Teriyaki Chicken Legs

These sweet, tangy, air fryer teriyaki chicken legs are so tender the meat practically falls off the bone!

Simple Ingredients

low sodium soy sauce  mirin sesame oil light brown sugar minced ginger garlic, minced chicken drumsticks teriyaki sauce (optional) green onion to garnish, optional.

Combine soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, sugar, ginger, and garlic in a medium bowl.

Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl or ziplock bag, add the teriyaki marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Discard the marinade and place the teriyaki marinated chicken drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer

Cook for 12 minutes on each side or until an instant meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part registers 165ºF.

Remove from the basket and brush the chicken with teriyaki sauce if using. Sprinkle it with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
