STEP 1. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

STEP 3. In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk, maple syrup, and unsalted butter until just combined.

STEP 3. Stir flour mixture into the wet mix until slightly moist. Fold in the apple and cinnamon.

STEP 4. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan. STEP 5. Combine the topping ingredients, cinnamon, and sugar, sprinkle onto the load and swirl in with a knife.

STEP 6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
