Air Fryer  Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Tender, juicy air fryer teriyaki chicken wings are a fantastic weeknight meal, easily prepared ahead of time and cooked in just 20 minutes.

Simple Ingredients

–  cup mirin –  low sodium soy sauce –  light brown sugar –  sesame oil –  minced ginger –  garlic, minced –  chicken wings –   water –  cornstarch – Sesame seed and green onion to garnish

 Combine mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, and garlic in a medium bowl. Set aside

 Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, add half of the mixture and toss to coat

 Meanwhile, add the rest of the soy mixture to a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

  Whisk water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Add to the pan, and cook, whisking until the sauce is bubbling and thickened.

 Remove from heat and set aside

 Arrange the chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Cook for 10 minutes on each side or until an instant meat thermometer registers 165ºF.

 Brush the chicken wings with reserved sauce. Sprinkle it with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve and enjoy!
