ENJOY CLEAN EATING
Enjoy Clean Eating is your site if you want to incorporate healthier recipes into your family meals without restricting diets.
Enjoy clean eating is not a website for a specific diet but a more healthy approach to clean eating.
This approach to eating and living maximizes your energy and optimizes your health. It's a lifestyle with built-in flexibility, meaning it can be adapted to fit almost any kind of routine.
When I'm talking about a healthy approach to clean eating, what I mean is, don't get obsessed about the numbers in calories, carbs, etc., because when you do, those numbers start controlling your life. They stop you from enjoying the food you fuel the body with and begin to deprive yourself of enjoying the company of those you care the most.
A clean eating lifestyle is not just eating raw vegetables or going vegan. It is more about finding the food you love and making it from scratch with whole ingredients to nourish your body and soul, and making food that brings people together.
Eating clean is a concept that stresses healthy, whole, unprocessed foods.
Clean eating avoids processed foods with artificial ingredients, preservatives, and added sugars, and these are our motor to create healthy recipes that are easy to make and delicious.
My goals are to inspire and help you make nutritious and delicious recipes with; real ingredients that the whole family could enjoy.
WHAT IS CLEAN EATING?
Clean eating is about having foods in their most natural state, a healthy lifestyle that drives you to have more excellent overall health and improving the quality of life.
It is a healthy lifestyle with flexibility and modifications, and it doesn't avoid any certain food groups unless medically necessary. Like our low sodium shrimp fajitas
This is about having food in its more natural way, but it doesn't mean that all the meals have to be in the raw state; cooking, pasteurizing, and preserving are great options, too.
WHAT TO EAT TO FOLLOW A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?
We all should eat more fresh foods like:
- Fruits and vegetables
- Leafy greens
- Whole-grains
- Healthy fats
- Grass-fed meats
- Wild-caught fish (every time you can)
- Organic dairy products or make your own yogurt
Processed and refined foods to avoid:
- White sugar
- Vegetable oils, refined
- Refined carbs
- Refined grains
- packaged foods with chemicals or dyes.
WHAT IS PROCESSED FOODS?
Processed food is a food that has had a series of chemical operations performed on it to change or preserve it.
When I refer to "processed foods," I'm talking about packaged foods that come in a box or bag and contain more than one ingredient on its list. They mostly have chemicals, preservatives, and other ingredients known to cause: inflammation, hormonal imbalance, weight gain, and skin problems like acne.
Some processed foods are very healthy, like greek yogurt, nut butter, tofu, frozen vegetables, and low sodium canned beans, to name a few.
The way to identify if your box or bag of processed food is clean, look at the ingredient list, it is something you could make at home, or it sounds something only could be made in a lab going through a chemical process.
