Preheating the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 270º F for 2 minutes

Recipe tips
- Use a mandolin to get perfectly sliced zucchini.
- Placing the zucchini between paper towels will help them to crisp up in the air fryer.
- Start checking around 12 minutes and remove those that are done and keep air frying those that aren’t crispy yet.
- You can use cooking spray oil if you don’t have a silicone brush. I use an oil sprayer bottle filled with olive oil. I got the bottle on Amazon.
How to make Zucchini chips in the oven
- Preheat the oven to 225º F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Place the zucchini slices in a single layer between paper towels to help draw out the liquid.
- Place the zucchini slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Brush zucchini with olive oil, sprinkle with salt or any seasoning you desire, or even parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 2 hours, or until the zucchinis are golden brown and crispy (If some slices are still soft, place them back in the oven until they are golden brown and crispy).
- Cool in a cooling rack before serving.
How to avoid the zucchini chips to burn
Every air fryer is different, and some air fryer has a hot spot zone. Keep checking after 12 minutes and remove those chips that are already crispy.
How to avoid soggy and not crispy air fryer zucchini chips
- Thinly slice the zucchini; I prefer to use a mandoline to do this, but if you have knife skills, go for it.
- Very important to remove moisture from the zucchinis using a paper towel.
- Don’t use a lot of oil; lightly oil the zucchini using a silicone brush.
- Cook them to 270 º F until they are crispy. If they are not crispy after 15 minutes, keep adding one or two minutes until crisp. If you remove them before they are done, they will be soggy.
- After air frying the chips, place them in a cooling rack.
How to store homemade zucchini chips
You can store zucchini chips leftovers after cooling at room temperature in a zip lock bag for a week in a dry pantry.

Tried the recipe in the air fryer. Terrible results!!! All the zucchini slices bunched up around the edges of the fryer. Even after 20 minutes, most still not crisp. Sliced very thin. Any suggestions???

It may be you have a mesh air fryer basket; if that is the case, you need to spritz oil in the basket and brush little oil on the zucchini slices. But if you have a non-stick air fryer basket, brush more oil on the zucchini. Also, pause the air fryer before opening the basket, and don't turn them around until they are ready to turn over; otherwise, there'll be flying around the basket.
I hope these tips help you to get the crispiest zucchini chips you deserve.
