Ingredients For Easy Zucchini Air Fryer Fries
**Find the full list of ingredients along with the recipe instructions at the end of this post**
- Zucchini: You’ll need to slice the zucchini into fry-shaped sticks to prepare them to be fried.
- Flour: Flour coats the sticks to help create a crispy outer layer when air-fried.
- Eggs: Lightly beaten eggs help to bind the flour to the zucchini.
- Water: Water helps to thin the beaten eggs.
- Panko bread crumbs: These bread crumbs provide an incredible crunchy texture.
- Grated Parmesan cheese: Parmesan adds a slightly salty and subtly nutty flavor to the fries.
- Garlic powder: Add just a little kick of garlicky flavor with the garlic powder. You can also add onion powder if you want to add oniony flavor.
- Herbs de Provence: This blend of aromatic herbs contributes a distinct and fragrant flavor to the fries. You can also use Italian seasoning.
- Salt and black pepper: Both salt and pepper help to balance the other ingredients.
- Avocado oil (in an oil sprayer bottle): Use this oil for spraying the zucchini fries to prevent them from sticking to the air fryer basket. You can substitute your own favorite cooking spray - any nonstick spray will work.
For the Sauce:
- Mayonnaise: The base of the sauce, mayo, provides the creaminess in the sauce.
- Sriracha sauce: Sriracha adds a spicy kick and depth of flavor. For more heat, add cayenne, red pepper flakes, or your favorite hot sauce.
- Red wine vinegar: This vinegar adds a tangy and slightly acidic taste, balancing the richness of the mayonnaise. You can also use white vinegar, rice wine vinegar, or white wine vinegar.
- Salt and black pepper: These two seasonings help to build a balanced sauce.

FAQ’s About Easy Air Fryer Zucchini Fries
Since you’re not deep frying the zucchini, it can be considered healthier than traditional french fries. Also, zucchini offers valuable nutrients you may not find in potato fries.
Use a sharp knife to slice off the ends of the zucchini, then slice it in half so that you can rest it on a flat surface. Then, slice the zucchini halves lengthwise to make long strips before cutting those long strips in half.
Are zucchini fries keto-friendly?
While zucchini fries may be low carb compared to fries made with potatoes, using panko and all-purpose flour means that they're still not keto-friendly. Look for alternative breading options like almond flour, coconut flour, and crushed pork rinds to make zucchini fry that will work on a keto diet.
