Instant pot Mashed Cauliflower Recipe
This Mashed cauliflower Instant pot recipe is really easy to make and delicious. With simple ingredients like garlic and butter to make creamy cauliflower mash and buttery with every bite.
Sometimes it is hard to find a cauliflower recipe that the whole family can enjoy. Still, even the picky eater of my son loves this cauliflower recipe. And since I got the instant pot pressure cooker, I've been hiding more veggies into his diet.

How to make cauliflower mashed potatoes in an instant pot
To make this cauliflower recipe. Ingredients cauliflower, water, a steam basket, an instant pot pressure cooker, and a food processor (affiliate links) are all you need.
Cauliflower mash instant pot is easy in the pressure cooker. Then mashed with garlic and butter to give this mashed cauliflower lots of flavors.
STEP 1. Adding water or broth: Pour broth into the inner pot of your Instant Pot.
STEP. 2. Using steamer basket: Place a steamer basket inside the Instant Pot.
STEP 3. Adding the ingredients to the pressure cooker. Transfer the cauliflower florets and garlic to the basket inside the Instant Pot.
STEP 4. Close the lid and set the cooking time: Place the lid on the pot and lock it in place. Turn the steam release knob to the Sealing position (or DON'T press the release knob for the newest model). Press the manual/pressure cook button (or dial) and the + or - button (or dial) to choose 3 minutes of high pressure. The pot will take a few minutes to build up the pressure before the timer starts.
STEP 5. Releasing pressure and opening the pot. When the cooking cycle has finished. Do a Quick Release of the pressure by turning the knob towards the Venting position (or pressing the release knob). When the metal pin in the lid drops down, you can open the lid facing away from you.
STEP 6. Transferring and blending the cauliflower to mash. Lift out the steamer basket and transfer the cooked cauliflower and garlic to a food processor or blender.
STEP 7. Adding the rest of the ingredients: Add butter, salt, and pepper to the food processor; puree until smooth.
STEP 8. Serving the instant pot mashed cauliflower: Transfer the mashed cauliflower to a serving dish. To serve, garnish with chives.

You can mash the garlic before adding it to the instant pot if you want to.
Storage: If you have leftovers of instant pot mashed cauliflower. It can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Reheat over low heat and add additional butter if needed.
Do not have a steamer basket, use the trivet or place the cauliflower florets directly in the inner pot to cook.
How to mash cauliflower without a food processor
Use a fork to mash the cauliflower and garlic until no stalks are visible and skins are loose.
Another option is to use a potato masher and mash the cauliflower. Make sure to add the garlic and mash until it is nice and creamy.
Suppose you didn't use a steamer basket or the trivet for cooking the cauliflower. In that case, the result could be a much watery mashed cauliflower.
To solve this possible problem, here are some tips to help you out.
One of the methods that you could consider working with is merely using heat to evaporate the liquid.
The other method is adding mashed potato to the cauliflower to absorb the excess moisture that cauliflower is known. It will be hard to distinguish the added ingredients by taste.

Can you freeze cauliflower mash?
Yes. You need to cool it completely, place it in freezer bags, and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Use measuring cups to measure the portion size, then fill the healthy mashed cauliflower in Ziploc bags. Make sure that there is no air left inside the bag before sealing.
Do not forget to label the bag with contents, storage date, and quantity of mashed cauliflower. Keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.

- 1 cup of water
- 3 cloves garlic,
- 2 Tablespoon unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh Chives for garnish
Instructions
