What is uncured bacon?
You can buy any brand with uncured bacon that doesn’t have nitrate or nitrites.
Some of my favorites are Applegate uncured Bacon and also the Trader joe’s uncured bacon.
Bacon is high in sodium and fat, and you should limit the amount you consume and always consult with your doctor if you have any health problems that restrict the consumption of sodium or fat in your diet.
Is bacon bad for you?
Bacon has slightly more fat and calories than turkey bacon, and it isn’t an alternative for those on special diets or who can’t eat pork.
If you can’t eat pork bacon, uncured turkey bacon is a better alternative. But before you try it, ask your doctor if it is right for you because turkey bacon is high in sodium and saturated fat.

If you are cooking more than one batch of bacon in the air fryer, and you don’t want to drain the bacon fat from the previous batch, then put a piece of bread in the bottom of the basket.
Pull out the removable rack at the bottom of the basket and place a slice of bread down there and place the frame back in. The bread will absorb the excess grease and prevent the air fryer from smoking.
Can you cook bacon from frozen in the air fryer?
Yes! Make sure before you freeze the bacon you wrapped it on parchment or wax paper in a single layer and freeze in a freezer bag if you don’t want to cook the whole block of bacon.
To cook frozen bacon, place your frozen bacon in the air fryer basket. They will be stuck together into a bacon block. Set your air fryer to 370°F and cook for 5 minutes. Once the bacon begins to thaw, you can separate them into individual pieces and leave as many slices that fit in one layer in the basket and cook for 10 minutes at 370°F.
