Ears of corn (husk and silk removed) - when choosing them, be sure to pick bright green husks wrapped tightly against the corn as this indicates freshness. Another good indicator of freshness is when the ears being slightly damp. The fresher the corn, the sweeter the flavor.
Uncured, smoked bacon - a lot of the bacon you can buy in the grocery store is cured with sodium nitrites to preserve color and flavor and help it stay fresh for longer. Uncured bacon has still been cured, but with nitrites from celery instead. I like to use smoked bacon for bacon-wrapped corn on the cob because it adds a smoky flavor as you would get from the grill.
Butter (to serve) is optional, but butter makes corn on the cob extra tasty! You could also drizzle with ranch, which complements the bacon nicely.

Can you air fry corn on the cob wrapped in bacon?
Absolutely! Bacon wrapped corn on the cob air fryer is delicious because of the way the air fryer cooks. Air frying works by passing hot air around the food, which means it heats quickly and evenly. Air frying is excellent if you’re cooking meat because its natural juices don’t evaporate, and it browns the outside and makes it just as crisp as it would be on the grill.
Corn on the cob is also excellent when air-fried because it stays juicy but keeps its crunch. Put them together with bacon, and you have a real treat!
How long to cook bacon wrapped corn on the cob in the air fryer
Corn on the cob wrapped in bacon only takes around 12 minutes (6 per side) at 370°F to cook in the air fryer!
The exact timings will vary depending on your model of air fryer, but you can tell it’s ready to serve when the bacon has gone slightly browned and crisp outside. Yum!

Can you freeze cooked corn on the cob?
Yes. You can freeze cooked corn on the cob whole or remove the kernels first. It’s a good idea to think about how you want to use it once you defrost it before freezing it because if you’ve frozen an entire cob, it will also need to be defrosted whole, whereas if you remove the kernels, you have the option just to defrost a few at a time.
To freeze whole corn on the cob, cool it down and seal it into an airtight container or ziptop bag within two hours of cooking - ensuring that there is as little moisture as possible inside the bag or container will prevent it going mushy.
To freeze individual kernels, remove the kernels from the cob before sealing them into a zip-top bag or airtight container.
You can store corn on the cob in the freezer indefinitely as long as the temperature remains at 0°F; however, the quality will start to degrade after 10-12 months.
