In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, oil, soy sauce or coconut amino, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
Place the salmon steaks in a bowl and pour the marinade. Cover, refrigerate, and marinate for 30 minutes.
Place the salmon in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for 6-8 minutes on each side.
Or cook until an instant meat thermometer register 135ºF in the thickest part.
